Museum of History and weapons, situated on a high hill (130 meters) Morro de Arica, Chile’s Arica, will be of interest to all lovers of history. It occupies the premises of a former fortress, which was the first defensive works of the Spaniards in the city.

The archaeological site where the Museo de Sitio Colon 10 is located was discovered in 2004, when land mechanic studies were carried out for the construction of a new building. Thanks to a salvage excavation, the existence of a series of artificially mummified bodies was found, a context that was related to the Chinchorro culture. The San Miguel de Azapa Archaeological Museum is a museum located 500 meters from the homonymous town , in the district of Arica , which is part of the region of Arica and Parinacota , in northern Chile . Founded in 1967, it belongs to the University of Tarapacá and is known for hosting the mummies of the Chinchorro culture , the oldest in the world.
